O filme “Uma Batalha Após a Outra” confirmou o favoritismo e foi o grande vencedor da 98ª edição do Oscar. A produção levou seis estatuetas, incluindo Melhor Filme e Melhor Direção para Paul Thomas Anderson, sendo o título mais premiado da noite. Além do prêmio principal, o longa também venceu em categorias como Roteiro Adaptado, Montagem e Elenco, ampliando sua liderança na cerimônia.
Entre os destaques da noite, a atriz Jessie Buckley venceu o Oscar de Melhor Atriz por sua atuação em “Hamnet: A Vida Antes de Hamlet”, confirmando o favoritismo após uma temporada marcada por vitórias em premiações como Globo de Ouro, BAFTA e Critics Choice.
Na categoria de Melhor Ator, Michael B. Jordan levou a estatueta por “Pecadores”, que também se destacou ao conquistar quatro prêmios no total. O longa havia liderado as indicações, com 16 nomeações, o maior número da edição.
Outros vencedores importantes incluem Sean Penn, que ganhou como Melhor Ator Coadjuvante por “Uma Batalha Após a Outra”, e “Frankenstein”, que se destacou nas categorias técnicas, como figurino, maquiagem e direção de arte.
Na animação, “Guerreiras do K-pop” venceu como Melhor Filme Animado e também levou a estatueta de Melhor Canção Original com “Golden”. Já o prêmio de Melhor Filme Internacional ficou com “Valor Sentimental”.
O brasileiro “O Agente Secreto”, que concorria em três categorias — incluindo Melhor Filme e Filme Internacional —, não levou nenhuma estatueta. O ator Wagner Moura também disputava o prêmio de Melhor Ator, mas foi superado por Michael B. Jordan.
